    Event Description:
    The West Virginia Historic Preservation Conference is the Mountain State's premiere educational event highlighting innovative ideas for re-using our historical infrastructure with a special focus on celebrating our industrial and labor history this year. This conference is open to the public and will feature educational sessions, hands-on technical workshops, the annual West Virginia Historic Preservation Awards Banquet, and guided tours of structures designed by Alex B. Mahood and other historical areas of Mercer County. This event is hosted by the Preservation Alliance of West Virginia - the statewide nonprofit dedicated to historic preservation - in partnership with the National Coal Heritage Area, the Town of Bramwell, the Eastern Regional Coal Archives, the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office, and other community partners.
